SAFETY PATROL

What is Safety Patrol?

During the Spring of 2002, the Safety Patrol was formed through a partnership with several Syracuse Property Owner Association (SPOA) landlords who own property east of the campus. The purpose of the program is to provide an additional Syracuse Police patrol within the off campus area where numerous students reside. The goal is to deter and prevent crime. The program is funded by the landlords.

Patrol Area:

One Syracuse Police Officer patrols an area bounded by Stratford Drive to the south, East Genesee Street to the north, Westcott Street to the east, and University Avenue to the west.

Duration of the Program:

Sunday through Thursday, 4 hours each night during the academic year. Hours of operation fluctuate each evening.
