Sgt. Kathy Pabis Receives CNYA COP Commendation

On April 27, DPS Sgt. Kathy Pabis received the Law Enforcement Commendation from the Central New York Association of Chiefs of Police for her outstanding efforts in serving and protecting the Syracuse University community during 2008.

From ending a series of grand larcenies, bringing closure to an attempted arson, and solving a home invasion robbery to her continued efforts at solving sex offense crimes and her unrelenting efforts to prevent sex offenses and incidents of domestic violence on campus, Sgt. Pabis has been responsible for solving multiple crimes that negatively affected quality of life at the University and that jeopardized the safety of others.
