Walking Escorts are provided for students, staff, and faculty on Main Campus from academic buildings to residence halls or parking facilities, and vice versa. The program operates in conjunction with the shuttle services, and begins operation after 8:00 p.m. Student Marshals wear bright yellow jackets and are equipped with a portable radio. During their patrols, they check for and report any potential hazards, suspicious persons, or unlawful activities. While not on an escort, Student Marshals patrol the quad area on foot, performing property checks of computer clusters, libraries, and other campus property to ensure the safety and security of people and property. To request an escort, call the Department of Public Safety at 315-443-SAFE (7233).
