Notification of an Attempted Robbery

WHEN: Friday, 10/6/06 at 2:30 AM

WHERE: 700 Ostrom Avenue

HOW: A student reported that as he walked ALONE along the 700 block of Ostrom Ave. at approximately 2:30 am this morning he was accosted from behind by two males. The victim turned and struck one of the males. The suspects then knocked the victim to the ground and ATTEMPTED TO TAKE HIS wallet. The suspects fled the scene without TAKING anything from the victim. The victim was treated at a local hospital for abrasions and released. The best description the victim could provide of the suspects was that they were two black males.
