Notification of a Robbery

September 26, 2006 (Date Issued: 9/26/06; DPS #2006-37856 / SPD #2006-402724)

WHEN: Tuesday, 9/26/06 at 1:35 AM

WHERE: 500 Ostrom Avenue

HOW: A student reported that as he was walking alone in the 500 block of Ostrom Ave. he was approached by three males. The males were carrying metal poles and demanded money from the victim. The victim stated that as he turned to run away he was struck in the back with one of the poles. At this point the victim surrendered his money and the suspects fled towards Thornden Park. Victim was treated for minor injuries and released from a local hospital.

The victim described the suspects as:

#1 - male, black, dark complexion, thin build, 6’ tall, mid 20’s, wearing dark clothing

#2 - male, black, dark complexion, thin build, 6’ tall, mid 20’s, wearing dark clothing

#3 - male, black, dark complexion, large build, 6’4”, mid 20’s, tall, wearing dark clothing
