Update to Menacing

April 18, 2006 (Date Issued: 4/20/06; DPS #2006-16179 / SPD #2006-211989)

Further investigation by SU Public Safety and the Syracuse Police Department of the incident described in Wednesday’s Campus Safety Alert (a female student approached by an unknown male brandishing a pocketknife) has determined that the object displayed in this case was not a knife/weapon and there was no criminal intent on the part of the male involved.

After conducting thorough interviews of all parties involved, investigators have re-classified this case as unfounded and have determined there was, and is, no threat to the campus community.
