Bullet Notification of a Strongarm Robbery

February 23, 2006 (Date Issued: 2/24/06; DPS #2006-00007307 / SPD #2006-154879)

WHEN: DPS received a report on 2/24/06 of a robbery on Thursday, 2/23/06, at approximately 1:00 p.m.

WHERE: Thornden Park on the road between the amphitheater and the playground

HOW: An employee was walking when two men on foot approached her from the front. The suspects knocked her to the ground, hit her, and demanded money. As a car approached, the suspects ran east toward Westcott Street . The unidentified male driver stopped to offer help. The victim walked home and notified SPD. She received a medical examination but was not injured. She also reported the incident to DPS the next day.

Suspect #1: male; black; approx. 18 yrs old; 5’11”- 6’ tall; 145-155 lbs; thin build; cleanshaven; short hair; wore navy pullover hooded sweatshirt, red baseball cap, dark jeans & work boots.

Suspect #2: male; black; approx. 18 years old; 5’11”- 6’ tall, 145-155 lbs; thin build; cleanshaven; short hair; wore dark zip-up hooded sweatshirt with plaid shirt underneath, dark jeans & work boots.
