Notification of an Attempted Robbery

December 7, 2005 (Date Issued: 12/08/05; DPS #2005-41956 / SPD #2005-476219)

WHEN: Wednesday, 12/7/05, approximately 9:50 pm

WHERE: In the University Place Lot

HOW: as a student walked through the lot using her phone, two males approached her from behind on foot and struggled unsuccessfully to steal her bag. A third man walked toward them, and the suspects ran south through the lot. The witness and victim walked to their respective halls. The victim was not seriously hurt. DPS and SPD searched the area with negative results.

Description of suspect #1: male; black; early-mid 20s; no facial hair; approx. 6’ tall; large, stocky build; wore puffy black jacket w/ hood.

Description of suspect #2: male; black; early-mid 20s; no facial hair 5’6”-5’7”tall; wore black leather jacket.
